Dispute Resolution

 

ADR is an acronym for Alternative Dispute Resolution which is a process that is used to settle conflicts that arise between two or more parties. This process is less formal, less expensive, and less time consuming than litigating the issue at hand. Although there are a number of ADR approaches available, ECS specializes in Mediation, Conciliation, and Arbitration services.

During both Mediation and Conciliation, the parties involved come together using a neutral third party to assist them in finding a satisfactory resolution to their issues through mutual agreement.

 

Arbitration, on the other hand, also uses a neutral third party but the arbitrator listens to all parties involved and makes a decision that is either binding (meaning the case cannot be litigated thereafter) or non-binding (meaning that the case is free to pursue a more formalized legal remedy through the courts.
